Mam Tor
‘Mam Tor’ means mother hill, Mam Tor is a 517m hill with an amazing viewing point near Castleton. The ascent is a relatively short walk that can be completed in 1-2 hours depending on your start point. The views at the top are stunning and you can sit and watch paragliders whilst enjoying a packed lunch.
Peak District National Park
You can reach the Peak District National Park from us in 11 minutes when travelling by car. Spend the day exploring the national park and all it has to offer before heading back to the pub for a well-deserved drink, hearty traditional pub grub and a comfy bed to end the day.
Blue John Cavern
The world famous Blue John Cavern, is one of the four show caves in Castleton. Take the 245 steps into the cavern and discover the beautiful Blue John stones. Steeping in history this is somewhere you definitely want to visit if this is your first or only time visiting Castleton.
